A crank clockwork radio like the type designed and developed by Trevor Baylis in 1989 work in a different way to many other self powered crank driven devices like torches. There are two main types of crank radio. There are emergency crank radios and clockwork radios. The two appear to be very similar on the face of things; however the way that they work is different.
